***UofT Organizing Meeting & Letter Writing for Deputations***

Ford's Bill 47 "Making Ontario Open for Business Act" has passed first and second readings in legislature. It scraps almost all of the labour protections won under Bill 148, including freezing the minimum wage for 33 months and taking away all our paid sick days. The bill is being sent to the Standing Committee on Finance and Economic Affairs for further consideration, and deputations take place on November 15th, with options to submit a deputation in person or via email/letter. So we have almost TWO WEEKS to organize and make sure Bill 47 does not pass and fight for #15andFairness!

Join us on MONDAY NOVEMBER 12 @ 6:00-8:00 PM at the Workers' Action Centre:
We will be meeting to consolidate our power as students and plan how we'll be supporting the provincial campaign's efforts to stop Bill 47 over the next two weeks. We'll also be drafting our own letters to be submitted to the standing committee that week. Please join us and bring your friends/allies!!
