Join Fight for $15 and Fairness UofT at our Lemonade Stand action to fight for decent wages and fair working conditions for all! In just a year in power, the Ford government has already clawed away at many crucial worker protections, including paid sick days, a $15 minimum wage, and equal pay for equal work. They want to make it harder to organize unions and are trying to undermine the bargaining power of workers. Precarious work and poverty wages make the lives of students even harder, struggling to pay for tuition, rent, and groceries. The people of Ontario are feeling the economic squeeze (pun intended) under Ford, but when workers are under attack, we fight back.

Come out on June 19 for “Lemonade for Fair Pay!” We’ll be setting up a lemonade stand at the entrance to UofT (College and King’s College Circle), enjoying the sunshine with refreshing lemonade, and sharing materials on the fight for decent work. We’ll spend a beautiful day having conversations about labour rights with community members, all over a nice glass of lemonade and some summer tunes. The provincial government might be pretty sour, but we can guarantee our lemonade won’t be.

Date: Wednesday June 19th
Time: 12:00-2:00 PM
Location: The corner of Kings College Road and College St, at the entrance to UofT
