Across Canada, workers are united in their desire for decent work and strong social programs. Unfortunately, the 1% fears our unity and is increasingly relying on racism and anti-immigrant rhetoric, as it attempts to divide us and weaken our movement for fair wages and working conditions. With a federal election around the corner, some politicians are attempting to use racism and xenophobia as a wedge issue to get elected. Once elected, they will undoubtedly implement more cuts to the social programs we rely on and further erode our labour rights. Let's not let them get away with it!

When: Tuesday, July 9.  Doors open at 5:30 pm, workshop begins at 6:00 pm.
Where: Suite 202, Spadina Avenue, south of Spadina Station.

Together we will learn how to:
* lead conversations with our friends and colleagues about immigrant rights;
* share facts, and expose racist misconceptions about immigrants, migrant workers and refugees;
* be an effective part of a racial and migrant justice movement.
