Tamil Fest is the largest Tamil street festival of its kind outside of the Indian subcontinent. Join the Fight for $15 & Fairness as we do outreach and talk to the festival attendees about the need for a $15 minimum wage and decent work for all. We will collect petitions that we will deliver to MPP's at Queens Park to make our voices heard!
We will be having 2 shifts on Saturday, August 25; and 2 shifts on Sunday, August 26. The shifts will be 2-4pm, and 4-6pm for both days.
This two-day street festival is taking place on Markham Road between Passmore Avenue and McNicoll Avenue. Our Meeting Point is --> 3001 Markham Road (look for us under the shade of the trees).
Please note that Bus 102 D (from Warden Station to Steels) will be rerouted through Tapscott Road as Markham Road between Passmore Avenue and McNicoll Avenue will be closed. Therefore, please make sure to get off at Tapscott Road & Ironside Crescent and walk WEST on Ironside Crescent to reach Markham Road (#3001, Markham Road).
