The Ford government announced today that it will side with corporate elites and cancel our decent work laws. His government announced that they will freeze the minimum wage at $14 - which means a real dollar wage cut for minimum wage earners - in addition to cancelling our two paid sick days, fairer scheduling rules, the right to equal pay for equal work and provisions that made it easier for workers in the most vulnerable sectors to unionize. These rollbacks are bad for workers, which means they will be bad for the economy.

Doug Ford's government has no mandate to cancel our new labour laws. The majority of Ontarians support decent work laws. Millions of workers are expecting and depending on the $15 minimum wage and basic protections at work. Ford's government says decent work laws have been bad for the economy, but the truth is hours worked, wages, and job numbers are up. 62% of small business owners and over 40% of Conservative voters support a $15 minimum wage and decent work.

Join for us an emergency action to let government and their Big Business allies know that we will respond to this attack on workers.

Where: Ottawa Board of Trade, 328 Somerset St W, Ottawa

Send Doug Ford an email right now to tell him that rolling back Bill 148 is for Big Business, not for the people, and that Ontarians do not support this! https://www.15andfairness.org/email_your_mpp
