We are outraged that Conservative MPPs voted against Bill 239 which would have provided 7 paid sick days permanently with an additional 14 paid days during public health outbreaks. But the fight for paid sick days is not over. Another Bill has been tabled that will provide all of us with 10 permanent, employer-paid emergency leave days. We are putting our elected representatives on notice that if they do not vote for legislated paid sick days in 2021, we will be voting for paid sick days in the next election.
