Paid sick days are urgently needed to save lives and curb the spread of COVID 19. Even with a vaccine, it will take months before everyone has access to it. Meanwhile it has never been more clear that essential workers need essential paid sick days. There's not a moment to lose. We all need employer-paid sick days now - and forever.
Join us on Wednesday, February 24 at 7:00 pm for this emergency phone ZAP as we call on Ontario Premier Doug Ford, Labour Minister Monte Monte McNaughton, and our locals Members of Provincial Parliament (MPP) to demand this government pass Bill 239. Bill 239 would legislate 7 permanent paid sick days and 14 additional days during public health emergencies. It will be up for a second reading vote in the coming weeks. Let's continue mounting pressure on MPPs to make sure it passes.
