The Conservative government is trying to cut funding to Legal Aid Ontario by over $130 million this year, and over $160 million next year. This is an attack on some of the most vulnerable people in Ontario. The cuts mean there will be less help for low-wage workers facing bad bosses, tenants who are forced onto the streets, refugees facing deportation, people with mental health struggles who have been denied social assistance, and more.
