Last week, the Doug Ford government introduced Bill 47. If passed, this legislation will impose a real dollar cut in the minimum wage and eliminate most of our new workplace rights, including paid sick days, equal pay for equal work, and more. By reducing penalties for employers who break the law, this outrageous legislation will not only force millions into poverty, it will give a green light to employers who break the law and who put workers' health and safety at risk.
