On September 15 and 16, the Fight for $15 and Fairness is hosting our first ever Ontario-wide Campus Assembly at the University of Toronto! Students, staff, faculty and supporters from university and college campuses across the province are invited to attend. Mark your calendar and register now by clicking here.
Together we will discuss next steps in our fight to win the strongest possible labour legislation. We will learn about how to advance the $15 and Fairness agenda on campus through collective bargaining as well as fair wage or procurement policies. It will be a great chance for new and experienced organizers to build skills and knowledge and connect with other campus activists.
There will be workshops and discussions on:
- Beating the big business lobby
- Ending racism & Islamophobia
- Bargaining $15 & Fairness demands
- Winning fairness for contract faculty
- Starting from scratch and effective organizing
- Linking decent work and public health
- Uniting students, staff and faculty
While the event will be focused on campus organizing, everyone is welcome and encouraged to participate. We hope you can join us!
